here's a question for rick or jim: i know i should have asked this before planning on doing it the next day, but here goes. where i work there are specialized pallets (beefy) that truck frames are shipped on. no decking but a great frame. and they ship with some 2x6 timbers to use for feet to keep the wind or impacts from blowing them over. any problem with using them for targets on the ranges? plan would be to bring them home, screw the feet on, take them there and deploy. i was going to use quarter inch vinyl clad foam poster board for target backings to staple or tape paper targets to, stapled to the frame. (will have cheesy automotive propaganda on the back side, the front will be clear. ) the pallets will last a while, the poster boards won't, but everybody sees these at work all the time, it's just another thing to recycle. is this ok with the range rules or no? i didn't know if the pallet pile was going to be there in the winter or not? also, can the two longer ones be driven on with a truck, or is that out? these things are heavy, if there's no driving on the snow then they're getting disposable rope handles. thanks
